This dynamic lecture will showcase some of the new finds, from early 1850s inscriptions to the more numerous early and middle 20th century visitor names. Some of the new discovered names were, yet again, left by people that have historic ties with El Paso, the County, our region, and the greater Southwest region. The presentation will also focus on the interesting local newspaper articles found during research, regarding those visits, some with direct ties to inscriptions, and with some extra, very interesting information relative to Hueco Tanks.

Since 2014, Sebastian Ribas-Normand has been researching the historic graffiti and inscriptions at Hueco Tanks State Park and Historic Site. In 2024 and early 2025, a new effort was made to do a detailed search on the field to try to identify missed inscriptions from the first prospections in 2014 and 2015. The result is more than 150 new names recorded.
