🍂 Miquiztli: Día de Muertos Ofrendas and Art by Mi Corazón Mexica 🍂

Exhibition Period: 📆October 24, 2026–January 10, 2027📆

As part of our annual Día de Muertos celebration, this year’s community gallery pop-up will feature the work of artist Mi Corazón Mexica (David Gremard Romero). Romero is a Mexican American artist based in Mexico City who is dedicated to the art and craft of Mexica spirituality. His work encompasses painting, illustration, textiles, sculpture, handcrafted dance regalia, and sacred objects for Mexica ceremonies. ✨

The pop-up exhibition will feature a Mesoamerican Día de Muertos altar created by Romero, along with other works, including his original Mesoamerican tarot deck. In conjunction with the Día de Muertos celebration on October 24, 2026, visitors will have the opportunity to meet the artist during an informal talk at 1:00 pm. Romero will also participate in the Día de Muertos parade in partnership with the El Paso Museum of History. In addition, Romero will offer items for sale at the El Paso Museum of History.📍
